For the first time, at the Lyceum inside the Fortezza da Basso will host Reflections, a new place for exhibitions, installations, conversations, ideas. At this edition, Andrea Caputo proposes Land Flag: From Waste to New Materials, a reflection on consumption and recycling. The installation exhibits, like an island, the plastic waste produced in a week by a professional studio of about six hundred square meters in which sixty people work.

Around this space, there will be a series of talks curated by design critic and curator Angela Rui. It will be a real dialogue between influential voices and the audience about developing a relationship and interacting with the Planet, through the observation of the oceans, the behavior of plants, the positioning of the Earth in time and interstellar space and production intended as a constant processing of matter.

As the Caputo installation addresses the issue of sustainability starting from a different interpretation of waste, guests will personally tell just as many new, viable and sustainable ways to review – and consequently rethink – the personal and collective bond we have with the planet.

The project is developed in collaboration with Reda a leader in sustainable fabric production.
